Yesterday kicked off Day 1 of NFL free agency and, as always, it was an extremely busy day. Many of the NFL’s elite found new homes and some (Vince Wilfork) ended up staying put. Additionally, spring training is in full throttle and fantasy players are beginning to figure out who may or may not be solid draft picks for 2010. And to think, if March is already this entertaining, imagine how much better it will be come March Madness?

With the news that the Shaqtus is likely out for the remainder of the regular season comes an exciting new opportunity for fantasy basketball owners. It's not the foot of snow that currently sits on top of my car nor is it a lack of UC-Santa Barbara Banana Slug basketball coverage. Nope, the biggest problem I have with residing in the northeast is that I am caught in the middle of Yankees v. Red Sox and my 6th Amendment right to an impartial jury is about as sacred as the bathroom wall in your favorite bar. After the Youkilis v. Zimmerman ruling was released, I was accosted by a few angry Red Sox fans. While most were completely irrational, one happened to have a fairly good point. With his point in mind I would like to clarify my thoughts from Wednesday.
